Solutions Engineer

James Imaging has been an award-winning provider of office equipment, software technologies, and services in southeast Wisconsin for over 40 years. We have been supporting our clients with tier one products and outstanding service to ensure they have the tools to communicate and share their important documents quickly and efficiently.

We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist / Solutions Engineer with a strong background in office technology solutions and hands-on experience with SAP and DocuWare. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving technical challenges, enjoys working directly with clients, and is passionate about delivering exceptional support.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound phone calls and emails from customers seeking technical assistance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP, DocuWare, and other office technology solutions.
• Understand customer needs and provide proactive and reactive technical guidance.
• Support product upgrades, installations, and configurations.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to improve product offerings.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers throughout the support process.
• Document all support activities and resolutions in internal systems.
• Submit software change requests (SCRs) based on customer feedback and enhancement needs.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in office technology.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in technical support or solutions engineering, preferably in office technology.
• Hands-on experience with SAP and DocuWare is required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for both software and hardware issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
